what do you do when you literally feel like you are going insane?

diremoonwolf:

I can hardly wait to go up North to my parents’ house in August. Two weeks of tolerating my dad tolerating me, but other than that it’s sheer wilderness-bliss. I will kayak the river that runs through their property all the way to the mouth that feeds into Lake Superior. I love creeping through the moss and ferns, listening to the wind comb through the fir tree forest; rowing through the all the lilies, watching frogs leap, turtles dive, bald eagles soar. It is then when I feel I’m actually alive.
infinitylooper:

Something to think about:
The Earth is 4.6 billion years old. Let’s scale that to 46 years. We have been here for 4 hours. Our industrial revolution began 1 minute ago. In that time, we have destroyed more than 50% of the world’s forests.
This isn’t sustainable.
